McClard, Delores

Mrs. Delores Ann McClard, age 66 of Black Oak, Arkansas, died September 13, 2012 at her home. Born March 17, 1946 at Newberry, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Beulah Green Sheppard. Mrs. McClard retired from General Motors in Flint, Michigan and was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Clio, Michigan. She enjoyed singing in the choir, crocheting, sewing, knitting and collecting. She is survived by her sons: Andrew McClard and wife Paula and Robert McClard and wife Mana all of Flint, Michigan; one daughter: Kathy Manutes and husband James of Springfield, Ohio; two brothers: Eugene Sheppard and wife Betty of Austin, Texas and Robert Sheppard and wife Mary Lou of Hale, Michigan; two sisters: Irene McGraw and husband Roy of Alaska and Joyce Brewer of Black Oak, Arkansas. Mrs. McClard also leaves eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Lorene Schinke and Lola Davis; one brother: Donald Sheppard; two grandchildren: James Hoover and Anna Hoover. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday September 15, 2012 at the Mt. Pleasant General Baptist Church in Monette, Arkansas with Rev. Ernest Cornish officiating. Burial will follow in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors Friday, September 14, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 at Faith Funeral Service. Pallbearers: James Hill, Ronnie Hill, Kevin Hill, Bryan Hill, D.J. Hill and Sammy McGee. Honorary pallbearers: Aaron Davenport and Jim Manutes.
