Evelyn Lois Smith, 73, of Trumann, Arkansas passed away at St. Bernards Medical Center on April 8, 2022. She was born on March 9, 1949 in Newport, Arkansas to Alfred and Sara Lance Helms. Evelyn was a member of the Church of God. She enjoyed cooking, watching cooking shows, and taking care of her grandbabies. Survivors include; one son: George Helms of Trumann, Arkansas; one daughter: Lois Smith of Trumann, Arkansas; one brother: Harold Wayne Helms of Newport, Arkansas; two sisters: Phyllis Manual (Butch) of Ravenden Springs, Arkansas, Elizabeth Staggs of Tuckerman, Arkansas; sic grandchildren; many great grandchildren; daughter-in-law: Tammie Helms; and a host of other family and friends. Evelyn is preceded in death by; parents: Alfred and Sara Lance Helms; one son: William Smith; one daughter: Sara Estep; three brothers: Bobby Gene, Alfred Edward, Albert Lee; one sister: Martha Pierce; and one great grandchild: Kailynn Artiss. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Faith Funeral Service from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the care of Faith Funeral Service in Manila, Arkansas
