Billy Joe Young
December 23, 1945 - August 25, 2022

Billy Joe Young (B.J.), son of the late Sadie Lou (Ozment) Young and the late William Jackson Young, was born on December 23, 1945 in Gobler, Missouri and departed this life on August 25, 2022 at the age of 76 years. B.J. lived in Arbyrd, Missouri for many years, and was a member of Second Baptist Church in Leachville, Arkansas. He was a First Sergeant of the United States Army where he served his country for 35 years. Survivors include; four daughters: Robin Wilbanks of Kennett, Missouri; Stacey Moss (David) of Hornersville, Missouri; Misty Shaver (Monty) of Kennett, Missouri; and Shae Bost (Josh) of Bragg City, Missouri; seven grandchildren: Blake Wilbanks, Trevor Shaver, Rocky Joe Bost, Tanner Shaver, Jake Bost, Halle Moss, and Teagan Shaver; four great grandchildren: Jaxon Wilbanks, Ella Wilbanks, Lane Wilbanks, and Adlie Jay Wilbanks; one brother: Jimmy Young (Karen) of Evansville, Indiana; and a host of other family and friends. B.J. was preceded in death by; his parents: William Jackson Young and Sadie Lou (Ozment) Young; two brothers: Gene Young and Verlon Young; and one sister: Maxine Brunson. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church in Leachville, Arkansas with Mr. Joe Cornelius officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Dunklin County Memorial Gardens in Kennett, Missouri under the care of Faith Funeral Service in Manila, Arkansas.
