Jerry Treadaway
July 26, 1946 - August 27, 2022

Jerry Treadaway, 76, of Trumann, Arkansas passed away at Regional One Health in Memphis, Tennessee on August 27, 2022. He was born on July 26, 1946 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Hugh Thomas Treadaway and Etta (Garland) Treadaway. He was a member of the Viva Drive Church of Christ in Trumann, Arkansas for 20 plus years. Jerry served his country in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, helping others, visiting with others, and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include; three children: Karen Treadaway of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Scott Treadaway (Kimberly) of Trumann, Arkansas, and Matthew Treadaway (Amy Jo) of Trumann, Arkansas; five grandchildren: Cody Treadaway, Isaac Treadaway, Thomas Treadaway, Zoe Treadaway, and Scotty Treadaway; one great grandchild: Lillian Treadaway; two sisters: Betty Davis (Jackie) of Trumann, Arkansas and Mary Braham (Don) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by: his parents: Hugh and Etta (Garland) Treadaway; two brothers: Norman Treadaway and Kenneth Treadaway; and two sisters: Laverne Celaya and Movita Halfacre. The family has requested private arrangements in the care of Faith Funeral Service in Manila, Arkansas.

    I worked with Jerry at GE!! So sorry for your loss. He was a good friend & fellow worker. He is in a much better place but I know your hearts are heavy & he will be missed!!!

    Jerry… you were definitely one of the good ones! I am so lucky to have had you in my life! You were hands down the best Papaw to my boys!! You had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone! I can only hope that Tommy and Scotty become half the man you were!! You sure are gonna be missed Papaw!     Jerry is a sorely-missed-brother and friend to me and my family. Each conversation I had with Jerry was about the Bible, something to do with the Lord's Church or helping others. When the tornado hit Trumann last December, Jerry volunteered to head up the efforts of the Viva Drive church to help families. He made himself available at any time for one to call or come by for supplies or other help. May God bless all his family at this time.
