Dallas Eugene Wasson, 89, of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away at his home on September 4, 2022. He was born on May 7, 1933 in Leachville, Arkansas to Otis and Bessie Brown Wasson. Dallas was a member of the Mason’s for over 60 years; He was also a member of the Pittsford Bible Church in Michigan where he lived for 65 years. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid boater. Survivors include; one daughter: Dawn Ellen Jones of Cleveland, Tennessee; one son: Daniel Eugene Wasson of Detroit Michigan; two grandchildren: Bobby Helmering and Tracy Hibben; one half-brother: Darrell Sharp of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two half-sisters: Juanita Kerr of Monette, Arkansas and Doris May of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; three great grandchildren: T.J. Hibben, Timothy Scott Helmering, and Natalie Rose Helmering; and a host of other family and friends. Dallas was preceded in death by; parents: Otis and Bessie Brown Wasson; stepfather: Claude Sharp; one brother: Lloyd Wasson; and one sister: Wanda House. Pallbearers: Teddy Sharp, Trevor Sharp, Lonnie Smitty, Chad Gilbert, Jim Johnson and Michael Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers: Bobby Helmering and Braden Chaney. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at Macey Cemetery in Monette, Arkansas with Pastor Shawn McElhanon officiating. The family will receive visitors from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Faith Funeral Service in Manila, Arkansas. Interment will follow at the cemetery.
