Wilma Joe Isbell
March 17, 1947 - September 11, 2022

Wilma Joe Isbell, 75, of Jonesboro passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022, at St. Bernard’s Hospital. She was born March 17, 1947, in Rivervale to Allen and Alice Coats. She was a skilled sewer who loved crafting for her family, friends, and loved ones. Wilma was an avid follower of Jesus Christ and active member at Prospect Baptist Church in Jonesboro. She enjoyed working with Special Olympics, playing with her Yorkie, Lollipop, and being a loving mother and grandmother to her five children, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Wilma is survived by her two sons, Keith Isbell (LaDonna) of Trumann and Todd Isbell of Jonesboro; two daughters, Vickie Simpson (Darin) of Jonesboro and Traci Meurer (Brad) of Lake City; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Thomas Isbell; parents, Allen Franklin Coats and Alice Marie (Burch) Coats; son, Jeffrey Scott Isbell; three brothers, Vernon Coats, Junior Coats, and Thurl Coats, and two sisters, Wanda Losey and Marvell McCurry. Pallbearers: Hayden Ellis, Ethan McGaughey, Evan McGaughey, Brad Meurer, Logan Meurer, and Sam Meurer. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 17 at Prospect Baptist Church in Jonesboro with Bro. Mike Book officiating. Burial will follow at Potters Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto. Visitation for family will begin at 11:30 am. The family will receive visitors at the church from noon until service time on Saturday.
