Rev. Tommy Dewayne Wellman

Rev. Tommy Dewayne Wellman, 76, of Marmaduke, Arkansas passed away at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas on December 17, 2022. He was born on May 19, 1946 in Lansing, Michigan to William Wellman and Josephine Shepard Wellman. Tommy was a pastor for 47 years and was a member of the Church of the Living God. He retired from Emerson Electric in 2010. Survivors include; loving wife of 56 years: Patricia Wellman of the home; two sons: Michael Wellman (Linda) of Paragould, Arkansas and Timothy Wellman (Doris) of Manila, Arkansas; one daughter: Samantha Chiasson (Joey) of Louisiana; nine grandchildren: Eric Wellman, Blake Wellman, Allan Farmer, Janie Jenkins, Rhonda Boling, Troy Beadles, Josh Chiasson, Gabriel Logan, and Kristy Turpin; twenty-three great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; two sisters: Lois Waybright (Roy) of Kerns, West Virginia and Marion Sparkman (Richard) of Monette, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends. Tommy is preceded in death by; his parents: William and Josephine Wellman; one sister: Donna Wellman; and one brother: William Wellman. Pallbearers: Eric Wellman, Blake Wellman, Jax Smith, Kevin Stone, James Stone, Jackie Sparkman, Ricky Sparkman, Allen Farmer, Mark Johnson, and Liam Wellman. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Soul’s Harbour Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church in Manila, Arkansas with Pastor Randall Duda officiating. Interment will follow at Macey Cemetery in Monette, Arkansas.

    He was my pastor and my friend that was closer than a brother. His wisdom in the Bible was amazing. On Wednesday December 14, 2022 as we talked he was imparting that wisdom to help me as I pastor my church. I did not realize that when God brought Tom's ministry and mine together that it would launch a team that would see many people blessed as Pastor Tom and I preached the word of God. I was honored to be an ordained minister, associate pastor and friend of this great Man of God. You will be missed but your legacy will live on.
