Ricky Owens

Ricky Owens, 66, of Chicago, Illinois passed away at his home on April 24, 2023. He was born on February 1, 1957 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Clifton M. Owens and Jennie Mae Cambron. He enjoyed building, telling stories (that you’ve probably heard before), teaching Ryan (his son in law) how to build just about anything (the right way), and spending time with his brothers and grandchildren. He loved Corona with a lemon and not a lime. He was so excited to be getting a chance to go out of the country and experience Mexico for the first time. Survivors include; one daughter: Angie Toohey (Ryan); five step children: Tim Melton, Tony Melton (Becky), Michelle McCarty (Larry), Melissa Fulkerson, and Melinda Grace; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; five brothers: Ray Owens (Susan), Glenn Owens (Thersa), Earl Owens, Bruce Owens (Regina), and Eldon Owens (Pamela); and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by; his parents: Clifton M. Owens and Jennie Mae Cambron; loving wife of 47 years: Marilyn Owens; three sisters: Brenda Shelby, Janice Greenway, Charlotte Staffell; and one brother: Mark Owens. Graveside services will be held on May 6, 2023 at Tyronza Cemetery in Tyronza, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors at Faith Funeral Service in Manila, Arkansas from 12:30 p.m. till 1:30 p.m. graveside service will follow under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
