Marita Jo Lee

Marita Jo Lee, 88, of Hornersville, Missouri passed away at St. Bernards Medical Center on July 12, 2024. She was born on February 12, 1936 in Steele, Missouri to Carl and Georgia (Thomas) Brooks. Marita was a member of the Hornersville Baptist Church and was a Sunday school teacher, bible study leader, and was a part of the choir. She belonged to WMU and was a sunbeams leader. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. Survivors include; husband: Jimmie Lee of the home; one daughter: Deborah Lee Russell of Hornersville, Missouri; one son: Terry Wayne Lee (Cheryl) of Hornersville, Missouri; two grandchildren: Jon Caleb Johnson of Hornersville, Missouri and Molly Katheryn Granier (Mitchel) of Paragould, Arkansas; four great grandchildren: Abbey Lee Johnson, Zoe Elizabeth Harvell, Natalie Sue Marie Johnson, Harrison Graham Granier; one niece: Ann Rath of Trenton, Nebraska; and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by; her parents; and one brother: William Eugene Brooks. Pallbearers: Jason Droke, Ian Ridings, Jonathan Granier, Mitchel Granier, Bill Cunningham, George Burlison, and Luke Rushing. Honorary Pallbearers: Terry Keating, Chris Droke and John Tipton. Funeral services will be held on July 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hornersville Baptist Church in Hornersville, Missouri with Bro. Alex Palmer officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens in Kennett, Missouri under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
