John Marvin Mattix

John Marvin Mattix, 75, of Bono, Arkansas passed away on August 13, 2024 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born on May 3, 1949 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to John Thomas Mattix and Nellie (Maxwell) Mattix. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching western movies, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include; loving wife: Barbara Mattix of the home; two daughters: Shanna Pulver (Jared) of Bono, Arkansas and Karrie Washburn (Mikel) of Springdale, Arkansas; one brother: Jeff Mattix (Mary) of Bowman, Arkansas; three sisters: Fran Barnett (Gerald) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jane Elam (Jack) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Dell Goodman (Jim) of Monette, Arkansas; six grandchildren: Gunner Cline, Aaron Washburn, Logan Pulver, Faith Washburn. Britni Washburn, Mattix Pulver; and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by; his parents; and one daughter: Cassaundra Mattix. Pallbearers: Jared Pulver, Mikel Washburn, Jacob Hayes, Blake Nichols, Scott Galczynski, and Aaron Washburn. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Timothys Anglican Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas with father Thom McGee officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Pine log cemetery in Brookland, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
