Thomas Wayne Sims

Thomas Wayne Sims, 65, of Brookland, Arkansas passed away on December 2, 2024 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 2, 1959 in Monette, Arkansas to Charlie and Dorothy (Kain) Sims. Thomas was an active member of the Woods Chapel Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Braves baseball, planting a vegetable garden yearly, and spending time with his family. He loved his dog, Bella. Survivors include; mother: Dorothy Sims of Lake City, Arkansas; one son: Shannon Sims of Brookland, Arkansas; one daughter: Miranda Sims of the home; three grandchildren: Preston Sims, Lynlee Sims, Conner Morgan; one sister: Mary Davis (Myron) of Paragould, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by; his father: Charlie W. Sims; wife: Carolyn Sims; and his father and mother-in-law: Junior and Willadean Morgan. Pallbearers: Terry Grimes, Jewel Grimes, Scott Kidd, Michael Hammet, Jimmy Martin, and Allen Morgan. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Woods Chapel Baptist Church in Brookland, Arkansas with Bro. Rick Hathcoat officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
