Edna Louise Holt-Qualls
July 9, 1960 - February 11, 2025

Edna Louise Holt-Qualls, 64, of Lake City, Arkansas passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 11, 2025 at her home. She was born on July 9, 1960 in Marked Tree, Arkansas, to George and Sammie Thomas. She was a member of the Broadway Missionary Church and worked and taught at Arkansas State University as a Doctor of Education specializing in communications. She was exceptional with babies and children. She volunteered as a 4-H leader and at Thanksgiving she would have a large Thanksgiving dinner and invite students from Arkansas State University if they didn’t go home. On the last Sunday of every month she would have a large family dinner honoring anyone who had a birthday that month. She was very dedicated to family and wanted to keep everyone close. Survivors include; her husband: Daniel Qualls of the home; one son: Rickey Holt (Lisa) of Brookland, Arkansas; four daughters: Priscilla Stevens (Brandon) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jerrie Walker (Chris) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Hunter Qualls (Ross Driver) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Tracey Digilormo of Piggott, Arkansas; special nephew: Matt Holt (Amber) of Lake City, Arkansas; grandchildren: Justin Holt, Joshua Nelson, Quaine Hogan, Micah Hogan, Olivia Stevens, Kayla Long, Callie Rulo, Revvie Driver, and Rya Ann Driver; bonus grandchildren: River Holt, and Rykar Holt; and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by; her parents: George and Sammie Thomas; her husband: Rickey Holt, Sr., one brother: James Thomas; and one sister: Patricia Pommell. Pallbearers: Daniel Qualls, Rickey Holt, Jr., Matt Holt, Joshua Nelson, Micah Hogan, and Quaine Hogan. Honorary Pallbearers: River Holt, Rykar Holt, Revvie Driver, Rya Ann Driver, Justin Holt, and all that loved her. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Broadway Avenue Missionary Baptist Church, 205 Broadway Avenue, Bay, Arkansas, with Bro. Rick Jensen officiating. Interment will follow at Birdeye Veteran Cemetery, 3600 Highway 163, Cherry Valley, Arkansas, at 1:00 p.m. under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the church from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family suggest in lieu of flowers donations to The Beck Center for Veterans, P.O. Box 2347, State University, Arkansas, 72467.
