Buddy Calvin Evans, Sr., 74, of Monette, Arkansas passed away on March 11, 2025 at his home. He was born on October 19, 1950 in Wilson, Arkansas to Wister and Wilma (Allred) Evans. Buddy was a United States Army Veteran and was in Vietnam. He enjoyed bartering, buying and selling, ocean fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid dog lover. His coffin was hand built by Donnie Petty of Lake City, Arkansas. Survivors include; one son: Calvin Evans, Jr. (Angie) of Oak Grove, Arkansas; one daughter: Rena Hopkins (Beaver) of Monette, Arkansas; eight grandchildren: Bridget, Brooklyn, Jake, Little Buddy, Candace (Dustin), Danielle (Tyler), Rebecca (Aaron), Austin; three great grandchildren: Wallace, Michael, Aubrey; two brothers: Gerald Wayne Evans, Sr. (Debbie of Louisiana and Perry Lee Evans (Gail) of Maryland; several nieces and nephews; two best friends: Jerry Craig Hill of Monette, Arkansas and Ricky Petty (Debbie) of Lake City, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by; his parents: Wister and Wilma (Allred) Evans; and three special dogs: Bree, Rosie, and Simba. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Cherry Valley, Arkansas with Bro. Wayne Evans officiating.
