Billy Gene Platz

Billy Gene Platz, 89, of Monette, Arkansas passed away on March 19, 2025 at his home. He was born on July 8, 1935 in Lunsford Arkansas to Ivan Platz and Eva (Moses) Platz. Billy was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed doing mechanical work, fishing, riding horses, doing yard work, and spending time with family. He worked hard all his life to provide for his family. Survivors include; five children: Diana Holt of Manila, Arkansas, Sheila Anderson (Larry) of Caraway, Arkansas, Linda Luff of Caraway, Arkansas, Clarence Platz (Jessica) of Manila, Arkansas, Mitchell Platz (Kelly) of Stanton, Tennessee; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by: mother of the children of 49 years: Velma Platz; latest wife of 20 years: Joyce Platz; parents: Ivan Platz and Eva (Moses) Platz; four sisters: Marie Keiter, Dorothy Person, Ruby Nance, Barbara Keiter; and three brothers: Bob Platz, Garland Platz, Jim Platz. Pallbearers: Billy Anderson, Robert Anderson, Allen Luff, and Gavin Moore. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Monette Cemetery in Monette, Arkansas with Bob Blankenship officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
