Ray Pagel

Mr. Ray Albert Pagel, age 85 of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at his home. Born April 4, 1927 in Waterloo, Iowa, he was the son of the late Charles and Gertrude Autland Pagel. Mr. Pagel served our country in the United States Navy during World War II and was a past commander of the American Legion in Paragould. Mr. Pagel was a former electrician for the John Deere Company in Waterloo, Iowa and was a member of the Westview Baptist Church in Paragould. He is survived by his wife: Alberta Louise Pagel of the home; two daughters: Karla Finkenbinder of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Kelli Thomas of Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Pagel also leaves seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pagel was preceded in death by two sons: Randy Pagel and Leo Pagel; two sisters and one brother. Memorial services will be on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 11:00 am at Westview Baptist Church in Paragould, Arkansas with Pastor Marc Reeves officiating. The family has requested private disposition under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas.
