Jerry Wayne Batchelar, Sr.

Mr. Jerry Wayne Batchelar Sr., 72, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at his home in Lake City, Arkansas. He was born May 26, 1944 in Kennett, Missouri to the late Curnel and Luvenga Capps Batchelar. He served in the United States Army and Marines and farmed. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Batchelar is survived by three sons: Jerry Wayne Batchelar, Jr. (Melissa) of Cherry Valley, Arkansas; Barry Batchelar of Cherry Valley, Arkansas; and Denny Batchelar of Harrisburg, Arkansas; two daughters: Darlene Hodge (Robert) of Lake City, Arkansas and Alicia Bond (David) of Lunsford, Arkansas; one brother: Sherman Batchelar (Bonnie) of Harrisburg, Arkansas; five sisters: Patricia Cooper (Lewis) of Harrisburg, Arkansas; Louette Calcoun (Darrell); Barbara Travis (Dewight); Jerris Norman (Kenny) and Donna Hunts all of Paragould, Arkansas; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.Mr. Batchelar was proceeded in death by his wife, Wilma Batchelar; his parents; one daughter: Monica Batchelar; two sisters: Carolyn Batchelar and Glenda Batchelar; one grandson: Christopher Greer and one granddaughter Amanda Greer. Graveside service will be Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:00am at Bowman Cemetery in Lake City, Arkansas with Bro. Jerry Reed officiating. Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers: Austin Hodge, Rob Hodge, Bailey Weston, Jessy Batchelar, Austin Sailor, Quinton Barnes; Honorary Pallbearers: Bobby Hodge and Brooke Tunspall.
