William Reed Meurer, Jr.

Mr. William Reed Meurer, Jr., 56, of Caraway, Arkansas passed from this life on March 28, 2014 at St. Bernards Medical Center after a brave battle with cancer. Mr. Meurer was born on December 3, 1957 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to William “Bud” and Margie Guthrie Meurer. Mr. Meurer was a siding applicator and contractor for years, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and will be missed by his many friends and family. Survivors include: his wife: Susie Meurer of the home; one daughter: Sonia Robertson and husband Blake of Lake City, Arkansas; one granddaughter: Haven Robertson of Lake City, Arkansas; one grandson: Brady Robertson of Lake City, Arkansas; his mother: Margie Virginia Meurer of Caraway, Arkansas; two brothers: James Wiley of Caraway, Arkansas, and Bruce Meurer and wife Margie of Lepanto, Arkansas; three sisters: Gail Earnest and husband Phil of Blytheville, Arkansas, Olline Bates and husband Gary of Norman, Oklahoma, and Dianna Adams and husband Glynn of Jonesboro, Arkansas; four nieces; four nephews; and a host of other family and friends. Mr. Meurer was preceded in death by; his father: W.R. Meurer and one sister; Sally Ann Meurer. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Caraway Cemetery with Rev. Rick Stevens officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. Pallbearers: Terry Emery, John Brewer, Jim Redding, Gary Luff, Ronald Gipson, John Wilbanks, Mike McCullough, and Brock Coggins.
