Mr. Vernon Edward McMinn, 68, of Manila, Arkansas died on Monday, September 17, 2012 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Mr. McMinn was born on June 5, 1944 in Manila, Arkansas to the late Thurmand E. and Wonnie McMinn. Mr. McMinn was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed doing things to help others, carpentry work, and working on old cars. Survivors include; three sons: Timothy McMinn and wife Cheryl of Manila, Arkansas, Keith McMinn and wife Tammy of Manila, Arkansas, and Glen McMinn and wife Kelly of Monette, Arkansas; two sisters: Carolyn Hall of Manila, Arkansas and Judy Lewis and husband Ronnie of Rogers, Arkansas; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Mr. McMinn was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Linda Mae McMinn; two brothers: Cliff McMinn and Jimmy McMinn. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, Manila, Arkansas. Interment will follow at the Manila cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday, September 21, 2012 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
