Bonnie Jean Waller

Bonnie Jean Alsup Waller, 85 of Bay, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born February 7, 1932 in Bay, Arkansas to the late Elisha and Bertha Moon Alsup. She worked at Singer in Trumann, Frolic Footware, and St. Bernard’s in Jonesboro, and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Magnolia, Arkansas. Her favorite Bible verse was Ecclesiastes 3:1. She loved her family, flower and vegetable gardening, music, writing, and especially her love for poetry. Bonnie submitted a poem to the World of Poetry in Las Vegas in 1990 and won the Silver Poet Award. Survivors include one daughter: Aimee Pierce (Eddie), one son: Mark Waller both of Bay; one grandson: James Waller of Marianna, Arkansas; one great granddaughter: Lyric Waller of Little Rock, Arkansas.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings. The family requests private services under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
