James Alfred Breeden

James Alfred Breeden, 97 of Marmaduke, Arkansas passed away August 24, 2018 at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Arkansas. He was born January 2, 1921 in Tupelo, Arkansas to Calvin and Clola Kennedy Breeden. He served in the United States Army, WWII, was a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Paragould, Arkansas, and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his wife, of 45 years, Mary Jo Breeden; seven sons: Donald (Ruth) Breeden of Pennsylvania, Alfred (Lola) Breeden of Shirley, Arkansas, John Breeden of Oklahoma, Jessie Breeden of Oklahoma, William (Marta) Cox of Paragould, Arkansas, Daniel (Angie) Cox of Paragould, Arkansas, Michael Cox of Marianna, Arkansas; nine daughters: Judy (Leon) Franks of California, Patricia Johnston of Texas, Pansey Breeden of Cardwell, Missouri, Barbara (Ricky) McCarty of Oklahoma, Sharon Thrasher of Paragould, Arkansas, Linda (Charlie) Hill of Back Oak, Arkansas, Louise (John) Nail of Black Oak, Arkansas, Melissa (Vernon) Panneles of Riply, Mississippi, Ann (Daniel) McKaskle of Marmaduke, Arkansas; One brother: Bill Grisby of West Memphis, Arkansas, one sister: Mary Helen Freeman of Crawfordville, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter: Connie Faye Breeden, two sons: Donald and Wayne Cox, seven brothers: Dowan, J.B., Larry, Charles, Rufus, Thedill, and Sammy Grigsby, one sister: Modena Bryant. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church, Paragould, Arkansas with Pastor Jason Adams and Bro. Floyd Ryles officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas. Burial will be in Macey Cemetery, Monette, Arkansas. Visitation for family only from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00. The family will receive visitors at the church at 12:00 until time for service. Pallbearers: Clinton Stanley, Calvin Stanley, Danny Stanley, Gary Thrasher, Bill Reed, and Jerry McKaskle.
