David Scott Sawyer

David Scott Sawyer, 63, of Newport, Arkansas passed away at his home on April 15, 2022. He was born on May 8, 1958 in Baltimore, Maryland to Charles and Joann Rhodes Sawyer. David was a graduate of Christian Brothers University in Memphis Tennessee and The University of Tennessee School of Social Work. He was an active member of the Democratic Party; and enjoyed working in the garden and spending time with his brother Donald. Survivors include; two sons: James Scott Sawyer of Jacksonville, Illinois, Christopher Stephen Sawyer of Riverton, Illinois; two brothers: Donald Sawyer of Newport, Arkansas, Mark Sawyer (Debra) of North Carolina; one sister: Ellen Woodstock of Virginia; several nieces and nephews; mother to the sons: Anona Moffett of Riverton, Illinois; and a host of other family and friends. David is preceded in death by; parents: Charles and Joann Rhodes Sawyer; and one daughter: Sarah Sawyer. The family has requested private services. Arrangements are under the care of Faith Funeral Service in Manila, Arkansas.
