Jerry Martin, 83, of Brookland, Arkansas passed away at St. Elizabeth’s Place on May 11, 2022. He was born on June 5, 1938 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Carl and Dora Scrinpture Martin. Jerry was of the Protestant Faith. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. Survivors include; loving wife: Laverne Martin of the home; two sons: Michael Martin (Janelle) of Porterville, California, Darrell Martin (Angie) of Brookland, Arkansas; two daughters: Kimberly Patton (Tim) of Montana, Krystal Castaneda (Jesse) of Ada, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters; Betty Rueb (Marvin) of Sacramento, California, Janice Chaddock of Arizona; one brother: Joe Martin of Iowa; and a host of other family and friends. Jerry is preceded in death by; one son: Steven Shawn Martin; five sisters; and four brothers. Pallbearers: Gage Martin, Brian Akin, Matthew Blevins, David Bearden, Clarence Shinault, and Eddie Akin. Honorary Pallbearers: Caleb Martin, Zachary Martin, Gaylon Akin, and Kenneth Tyler. Funeral services will be held at the Paragould Church of God in Paragould, Arkansas on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Gary Smith officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, Arkansas.
