Billy Glen Shirley

Billy Glen Shirley, 67, of Caraway, Arkansas passed away at his home on June 29, 2022. He was born on August 1, 1954 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Billy and Roberta Ransom Shirley. Billy was a little league softball coach for his children’s softball team. In his younger years he was a craftsman and built furniture. He enjoyed fishing, driving his “T-Bucket” named “Pearl”, grilling, painting, and spending time with his family. Survivors include: one daughter: Amy Chilton (Ryan) of Paragould, Arkansas; significant other: Marilyn Sneed of Caraway, Arkansas; two sisters: Regina Gross (Bobby) of Lake City, Arkansas, Jan Richardson (Jerry) of Batesville, Arkansas; lifelong friends: Roland “Goob” Gamble and Hunter Miller; several nieces and nephews; several great nephews and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. Billy is preceded in death by; his parents: Billy and Roberta Ransom Shirley. A memorial service will be held on July 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Caraway United Methodist Church (201 E Illinois Street) in Caraway, Arkansas.

    Sorry to hear my old high school friend has pasted. Prayers for the family. Billy and I use to run around in his little VW. I remember him taking flying lessons and always was a fun person to be around. Rest in Peace.
