Kenneth Keith Roussel, Jr.
December 14, 1947 - September 18, 2022

Kenneth Keith Roussel Jr., 75, of Overland Park, Kansas laid down his working tools and passed from this life at The University of Kansas Medical Center on September 18, 2022. He was born on December 15, 1947, in Bernie, Missouri to Kenneth Keith and Hilda Marie (Hart) Roussel. Kenneth was a member of the Bodies of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Orient of Missouri, Valley of Kansas City, having achieved his 33° there. He was also a former Chaplain of the Grandview, Missouri Lodge #618. Kenneth enjoyed rock hounding, car shows, military history, airplanes, barbeques, and spending time with friends and family. He enjoyed herbal therapies, drum circles, and telling stories around campfires. He was a prolific writer, writing both poetry and prose. He was a member of the National Speleological Society and was heavily involved in advocating for stricter laws protecting the Missouri Cave System. He was preceded in death by; his parents; his son: Kenneth K Roussel III; and his nephew: Sean Roussel. He is survived by; his daughter: Angela Krout of Manila, Arkansas; his brother: Robert Roussel of Gilbert, Arizona; and his two grandsons: Dylan Roussel of Anchorage, Alaska, and Michael Canon of Savannah, Missouri; and by a whole passel of beloved nieces and nephews, and families of the heart. The family has requested private services under the direction of Faith Funeral Services.
