Bessie Lee Sorg

Bessie Lee Sorg, 89, passed away November 9, 2022 at Ash Flat Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on March 18, 1933 in Dalton, Ar to Rufus Ralph and Edna Alma (Nimmo) McManners. Bessie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, laughter, and many more cherished memories. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and baking. Survivors include; seven children: Danny Sorg (Lana) of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Fred Sorg of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Loretta Godwin (Gene) of Mammoth Springs, Arkansas, Tom Sorg (Nancy) of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Marsha Baltz (Andy) of Imboden, Arkansas, Kathy Holder of Pocahontas, Arkansas, and Bill Sorg (Nancy) of Fayetville, Arkansas; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Bessie is preceded in death by; her parents: Rufus Ralph and Edna Alma (Nimmo) McManners; her husband of 72 years: Raymond Sorg; four brothers: Gerald McManners, Bob McManners, Hershel McManners, and Johnny McManners; and two sisters: Bertha Lowery and Jessie Fortune. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomas Cemetery in Attica, Arkansas with Bro. Larry Stropes officiating, arrangements are under the care of Faith Funeral Service.
