Dixie M King

Dixie M. King, 80, of Leachville, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at her home. Ms. King was born on August 12, 1935 in Gideon, Missouri to the late James and Clara Jones Woods. Ms. King was a member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Manila, Arkansas and enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family.Survivors include; one son: Glenn King, Sr. of the home; one brother: Sidney Woods; three sisters: Charlene Woods of Mississippi, Ann Woods of Arizona, and Melba Arquette of Washington; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.Ms. King was preceded in death by; her parents; two sons: T. M. King and Paul King; three sisters: Lil Cosby, Jimmie Woods, and Louise Sawyer.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Manila, Arkansas with Rev. Eddie Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow at Manila Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the church from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Pallbearers: Glenn King, Jr., Donald King, Krystal King, Gary Morris, Willis Lambert, and Chris Maxwell. Honorary pallbearers: David Cosby and Michael Cosby. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to St. Jude Hospital.
