Gary Evan Gillett, 70, of Wilson, Arkansas passed away at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital on March 2, 2023. He was born on July 9, 1952 in Lepanto, Arkansas to Delmar Gillett and Dorothy Mahan Gillett. He was a member of the Keiser First Baptist Church in Keiser, Arkansas. He enjoyed hunting, going to church, doing yard work, and spending time with his family. Survivors include; loving wife of 46 years: Derinda Gillett of Wilson, Arkansas; two daughters: Leslie Lancaster (Shawn) of Wilson, Arkansas, Jennifer Martin (Lonnie) of Wilson, Arkansas; two sisters: Ann Williams of Joiner, Arkansas, Patricia Sullins (Louis) of Meridian, Mississippi; two grandchildren: Kamryn Scrivner (Grayson), and Wyatt Lancaster; and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by; his parents: Delmar and Dorothy Gillett; and two heavenly grandchildren. Pallbearers: Shawn Lancaster, Lonnie Martin, Wyatt Lancaster, Grayson Scrivner, Danny Gipson, and Trey Coffman. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Birdeye Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye, Arkansas with Bro. Todd Vinson officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Keiser First Baptist Church in Keiser, Arkansas or NEA Hope Circle or Elite Hospice.

    Butch was older than I when we were in school at Dyess but I will always remember his smile. II know you will miss him. I have often thought of him , being from Dyess myself we never forget the ones that we went to school with. My prayers and thoughts are with you all .
