Jimmy Dean Rorie, 84, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away at his home on August 2, 2023. He was born on March 8, 1939 in Big Flat, Arkansas to George Rorie, Sr. and Lois Maxine Lawrence Rorie. Jimmy was a born again Christian and enjoyed high school basketball, baseball, and golf. Survivors include; one son: Keith Rorie (Debra) of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas; one daughter: Michelle Rorie Perrin (Larry) of Verbena, Alabama; one brother: George Rorie, Jr. (Chason) of Chicago, Illinois; one sister: Louise McSpadden (Gene) of Searcy, Arkansas; two grandsons: James Robert Edwards and Zach Perrin; three great grandchildren: Lily Perrin, Benjamin Perrin, Avery Claire Edwards; and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by; his parents: George Rorie, Sr. and Lois Maxine Lawrence Rorie; loving wife: Neda Jean Rorie; and one son: Mitchell Dean Rorie. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 7, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Desha Baptist Church in Desha, Arkansas with Zach Perrin officiating. Interment will follow at Alderbrook Cemetery in Desha, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
