Kerry Shane Pendergrass, 52, of Black Oak, Arkansas passed away at his home on August 4, 2023. He was born on January 30, 1971 in Jonesboro Arkansas to Donald Pendergrass and Joyce Beck Pendergrass. Kerry was an avid Alabama fan, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching basketball and football. Survivors include; mother: Joyce Hill of the home; one brother: Jeff Pendergrass of Guntersville, Alabama; one sister: Jody Payton of Jonesboro, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by; his stepfather: Gary Hill; and his father: Donald Pendergrass. Services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Faith Funeral Service Chapel in Manila, Arkansas.

    I am so so sorry for the loss of such a great man. Shane would give you all he had if you needed it and be glad to do so. All you had to do was look at him and he would put a smile on your face. He had so much love to give and we all had so much love for him. Bo Bo thought that he was so cool. He’d say … Momma…Shane is so cool. One time he left our house in the middle of the night headed to Little Rock and walked all the way through Cash to the end of 226 said that he saw two cops go by and he had no ID so he turned around and walked back to our house. Bo Bo said that was me of the bravest things he ever heard. Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. Especially Joyce and Jody Lynn and John Karhe. We love you guys and are always here for you guys
