Paul Evert Dement
April 18, 1951 - September 29, 2023

Paul Evert Dement, 72, of Bono, Arkansas passed away at his residence on September 29, 2023 and was of the Baptist Faith. He was born on April 18, 1951 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to the late Evert and Joyce Pope Dement. Paul was a lifetime farmer in the Bono area until he retired at age 54, He loved John Deere tractors, and some might say if he got a cut, he’d bleed green. In his retired years, Paul loved riding over to the farm with his son Blake to check the rice and bean crops. He also enjoyed tinkering on tractors and enjoyed participating in antique tractor pulls. Paul enjoyed deer hunting and often went to Couples Hunting Club with his brother and friends. He was an avid fisherman and went on cherished fishing trips with the Cullen brothers. He was a Ford and Nascar fanatic and always wanted a Ford “First on Race Day” in the winner’s circle. If you knew him, you knew he loved to “cut up like a new pair of scissors” and laugh with his friends at the “DP Bench” at Bono Kum & Go. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by; his stillborn son: Paul Every Dement, Jr. Survivors include; his son: Blake Dement (Jill) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two brothers: Perry Dement (Sherry) of Bono, Arkansas and Mickey Dement (Charlotte) of Bono, Arkansas; one sister: Theresa Moss (Barry) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ms. Becky Sumrall and Ms. Betty Nuckles for their kindness and care for Paul during his illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude or another charity of your choosing. The family will be having private services at a later time.
