Wanda Lea Rhodes

Wanda Lea Rhodes, 92, of Caraway, Arkansas, passed away on October 7, 2023 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born on January 16, 1931 in Tuckerman, Arkansas to Richard and Imogene Simpson. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, Black Oak, Arkansas. She enjoyed watching baseball, crocheting, hunting, gardening, and taking care of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include; one son: Larry Rhodes (Connie) of Caraway, Arkansas; three daughters: Deanna Rhodes, Flora Brewer, and Rhonda Gipson all of Caraway, Arkansas; five grandchildren: Adam Rhodes (Stephanie), Aaron Rhodes, Travis Gipson, Candace Johnson (Jarrett) and Zachary Rhodes; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by; her parents: Richard and Imogene Rhodes. Her husband: Russell Rhodes; and one son: Mike Rhodes. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Hope Baptist Church, Black Oak, Arkansas with Bro. Heath Hawkins officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
