Frances A. Scercy, 86, of Bay, Arkansas passed away on October 26, 2023 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born on January 25, 1937 in Hancock, Arkansas to O.D. Gifford and Ethel L. Baker. She enjoyed sewing, doing word puzzles, doing color by number on her phone, fishing with her husband, and spending time with her family. Survivors include; six sons: Dennis Scercy (Myra) of Bay, Arkansas, Rickey Scercy (Carolyn) of Harrisburg, Arkansas, Chris Scercy (Carol) of Harrisburg, Arkansas, Terry Scercy (Linda) of Trumann, Arkansas, Billy Scercy (Angela) of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Brian Scercy (Amber) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; four daughters: Joyce Watson of Earle, Arkansas, Kimberly Renea Kain (Jimmy) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Trisha E. Woodruff (Larry) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jackie Lynn Lawson (Mark) of Bay, Arkansas; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. She is preceded in death by; her parents: O.D. Gifford and Ethel L. Baker; loving husband: George Thomas Scercy; one daughter: Debra Scercy; one brother: Otis D. Gifford; three great grandchildren: Timothy Parks, Jr., Harley Kain, Jonathan Watson; and one great-great grandson: Asher Pretty. Pallbearers; Friends and family. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Salvation Ministries in Jonesboro, Arkansas with Rev. Danny Jackson and Rev. Derrick Followell officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Monette Memorial Cemetery in Monette, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
