Nina S. Thorne, 75, of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away at her home on February 19, 2024. She was born on November 22, 1948 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Bennie F. McDonald and Anna Mae (Peevey) McDonald. Nina enjoyed doing yardwork, gardening, taking trips to Tunica, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include; one daughter: Cassie Neely of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one step son: David Thorne (Janie) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; six grandchildren: Whitney Taylor, Taylor Thorne, Summer Russell, Kiana Swanson, Addison Neely, Cabry Neely; three great grandchildren: Lyric Surrell, Lennox Surrell, Memphis Tate; one sister: Margaret Leggett (Bill) of Hot Springs, Arkansas; one brother: Benny McDonald (Ardis) of Washington D.C.; one niece: Michelle Tedder; one nephew: Mark Leggett (Lisa); very best friend: Hellen Rowland of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends. She is preceded in death by; her parents: Bennie F. McDonald and Anna Mae (Peevey) McDonald; husband: Tommy D. Thorne; one stepdaughter: Tamasa Russell; and one grandson: Hunter Thorne. The family has requested private arrangements under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
