Howard Taber

Mr. Howard D. Taber, 83, of Trumann, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House after a brave battle with cancer. Mr. Taber was born in Bay, Arkansas on September 9, 1931 to the late Olan Frank and Effie May Wells Taber. Mr. Taber was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include: three sons: Marty Taber and wife Jo of Avinger, Texas, Jackie Taber of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Michael Taber and wife Melanie of Trumann, Arkansas; three daughters: Linda Brooks and husband Bill of Trumann, Arkansas, Pauline Woodard of Trumann, Arkansas, and Wanda Wilkerson and husband John of Frisco, Colorado; seventeen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Mr. Taber was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Wanda May Taber; two sons: Billy Jack Taber and Lonnie Don Taber; one daughter: Kecha Ann Lambert; one brother: Buddy Taber; one step-brother: Lester Rushing; one sister: Juanita Davis. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 12:00 noon at the First Assembly of God, Trumann, Arkansas with Pastor Kenneth Doke officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Flippin, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors on Friday at the church from 11:00 am until service time.
