Martha Jane Cobb

Mrs. Martha Jane Cobb, 89, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died on Friday, January 9, 2015 at St. Bernards Medical Center. Mrs. Cobb was born on June 16, 1925 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to the late Leon and Elsie Coleman Stephens. Mrs. Cobb was a retired teacher and counselor for the Jonesboro Public Schools. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, taking care of grandchildren, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include; one son: Mike Cobb and wife Linda of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one sister: Peggy Hanshaw and husband Paul of Jonesboro, Arkansas; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Mrs. Cobb was preceded in death by; her parents; her husband: Coach Doug Cobb; one sister: Jerry Panell. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 4:00 pm at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 531 West College, Jonesboro, Arkansas with Rev. Amber Carswell officiating. A reception and visitation will follow the service in the fellowship hall of the church. The family request no flowers.
