Gerald James Thacker, Jr., of Smithville, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at St. Bernards Medical Center, Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on March 29, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Gerald James and Marie Wombles Thacker, Sr. He enjoyed wood working, motorcycles, and being on top of his hill. Survivors include; his girlfriend: Tina Dodson of the home; five sons: Kevin Broadway of Memphis, Tennessee, Jimmy Thacker of Indiana, Marcus Thacker of Missouri, Thomas Thacker and wife Carissa of Batesville, Arkansas, and Charles Humphrey of Paragould, Arkansas; two daughters: Sabrina Humphrey of Paragould, Arkansas, and Shelby Thacker and fiancé Anthony Hatfield of Swifton, Arkansas; four brothers: Bobby Thacker of Smithville, Arkansas, Roy Thacker and wife Cheryl of Florida, David Thacker and wife Linda of Texas, and Danny Thacker and wife Marie of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas ; one sister: Jessie Sue King and husband Steve of Imboden, Arkansas; six grandchildren; two grandchildren on the way; and a host of other family and friends.He was preceded in death by; his parents.The family request private services and disposition under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
