Ellen Genevieve (Young) Carter

Ellen Genevieve (Young) Carter was born on Tuesday, October 24, 1933 in Clay County, Arkansas to the late Robert Alvin and Emma Eva (Ellis) Young and departed this life on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the age of 85. She married Clyde Carter on Friday, January 11, 1957. She is survived by her children, Joe Christensen and wife Janet, Londa Carter, Ricky Carter and wife Rhonda, Stanley Carter, Candy Grice and husband Ronald, Bryden Carter and wife Lilli, Nathan Armstrong and wife Candace, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Carter, one brother, Bobby Joe Young, one son, David Young and one grandson, Derek Carter. Ellen was a firecracker but she had a heart of gold. She lived a life full of adventure that created cherished memories, which she reflected upon often. She was an absolute treasure to all who knew her and will be remembered fondly for the laughs and smiles she brought to the faces of everyone she met. The family will host a graveside memorial service and will be announced at a later date.
