Thelma Grayson

Thelma Irene Grayson, 95 of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born June 3, 1923 in Bay, Arkansas to William Albert and Mollie Bell Gates Mizell. She loved her job as a nurse so much that it took four tries to finally retire, also, she was an amazing seamstress, making quilts and custom clothing under her own brand name, “The House of Thelma”.Survivors include; one son: Johnie Maples of the home; one daughter: Barbara Thelma Chism (Denver) of Helena, Arkansas; two granddaughters; three great granddaughters; two great grandsons; three great-great granddaughters and two great-great grandchildren on the way.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; three husbands: Johnie DeWitt Maples, Richard Vanhooser and Doc Grayson.The family request private disposition under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas.
