Larry Jackson Colburn

Mr. Larry Jackson Colburn, 70, of Egypt, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at his home after a long illness. Mr. Colburn was born on May 23, 1942 in Egypt, Arkansas to the late Cecil and Corine Cook Colburn. Mr. Colburn was of the Church of Christ faith, retired from General Electric in Jonesboro, Arkansas and he was an avid outdoorsman. Survivors include: his wife of 49 years: Lola Mae Colburn of the home; three daughters: Kelly Miles and husband Barry of Bono, Arkansas, Kerry Smith of Tampa, Florida and Kristin Whitehurst and husband Shawn of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one brother: Terry Colburn of Egypt; one sister: Sherry Kent of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Audrey Miles, Cory Whitehurst and Shawna Whitehurst and a host of other family and friends. Mr. Colburn was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Larry Jackson Colburn, Jr. and two brothers: Jerry and Barry Colburn. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Egypt Church of Christ with Mr. Arlie Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Markham Cemetery in Egypt, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 am until service time. Pallbearers: Sheffield Kent, Chad Smith, Dorman Hufstedler, Jerry Cook, Wayne McNatt, Dennis Glidewell, Walter Lee Wagner and Tony Wagner. Honorary pallbearers: Terry Wagner, Alister Kent, Jack Kent, Gary Simmons, and Roger Foreman.
