Brenda Lafferty

Mrs. Brenda Joan Lafferty, age 56 of Kennett, Missouri, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 in Kennett. Mrs. Lafferty was born on August 10, 1957 to the late John and Zelma Trammell Peters and was a retired drug abuse counselor at Hayti. Mrs. Lafferty was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Kennett and enjoyed decorating, yard sales and collecting angels. She is survived by two sons: Michael Shawn Peters and wife Leah of Campbell, Missouri and Jeffery Eugene Tice and wife Christy of Perryville, Missouri; two daughters: Amy Michele Beeson of Essex, Missouri and Jessica Lou Anne Tice and companion Marissa of Kennett, Missouri; two brothers: Gary Peters of Murphysboro, Illinois, Johnny Peters of Kennett, Missouri; two sisters: Judy Sawyer of Moline, Illinois and Sharon Wolk of Gideon, Missouri; ten grandchildren: Zach Ingram, Courtney Peters, Ashley Peters, Benjamin Trammell, Hallie Beeson, Jerimiah Tice, Aubrey Tice, Jasmyn Tice, Marsela Sebastian and Reyna Sebastian; one great-grandchild: Adeleigh Renee. Mrs. Lafferty also leaves several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Marvin David Lafferty and one brother: Danny Peters Funeral services will be Thursday March 27, 2014 at 3:00pm at the First General Baptist Church in Kennett, Missouri with Rev. Marston Carpenter officiating. The family will receive visitors Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 1:00pm until time of service at the church under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas. The family has requested a private burial.
