Brinda Barker

Mrs. Brinda Barker, age 75 of Trumann, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born September 2, 1940 in Weona, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lessie Isbell Powers. Mrs. Barker was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed shopping, Tunica trips, arranging flowers and attending family get togethers. She is survived by 2 sons: David Williams and wife Debbie of Marion, Arkansas and Scot Williams of Trumann, Arkansas; one daughter: Tammy Huskey of Trumann, Arkansas; three sisters: Linda Barker of Trumann, Arkansas, Pat Satterfield of Trumann, Arkansas and Lorez Peifer of Arizona; two brothers: Jackie Powers of Missouri and Eddie Powers of Trumann, Arkansas. Mrs. Barker also leaves six grandchildren: Nichole Smith, John Huskey, Cheyenne Williams, Joey Williams, Cara Williams and Josh Williams; six great-grandchildren: Caidyn Smith, Reagan Smith, Max Smith, Aubreigh Fleming, Brianna Williams and Addyson Williams. Mrs. Barker also leaves a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Joe Barker, Sr.; one son: Steve Williams; three brothers: Orville Powers, Charles Powers and Larry Powers; three sisters: Jean Marter, Loyce Brightwell and Mary Blackwood. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 3:00pm at the Northeast Arkansas Baptist Church in Trumann, Arkansas with Bro. John Dillinger officiating. The family will receive visitors Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 2:00pm until service time at the church. The family has requested a private disposition.
