Ruby Pillow

Ruby Jean Pillow, born February 10, 1943, passed away suddenly March 19, 2017.Ms. Ruby, as so many people called her, was a woman of great faith, patriotism, love for her girls, family, dogs, music, stories, and sheer determination. She lived and died by her standards and great beliefs and never settled, sometimes sacrificing at great cost for whatever she believed in deeply. But, with whatever she had, she shared; whatever life gave her, she made the best of it.Ruby Pillow was resilient, a role model to her daughters, and ever the optimist when it came to what she loved. She never sold anything she didn’t believe in 100 percent whether it was home remedies, the latest MLM opportunity, jewelry, or cookware. Beautiful and caring to the end, she was loved by her family and friends for her inspirational work ethic and sweet spirit.She is survived by daughters Kimberly (Smoot) Parks (son-in-law Danny Smith), Karla Smoot, and Kelley (Pillow) Taylor; Grandchildren Nik Parks (wife Mollie), Lacye Parks, Weston Parks, Colten Parks, Brady Adams (wife Victoria), Kris Adams, and Lex Taylor; and five great granddaughters. She is also survived by her best friend and sister, Shirley Padilla, and brothers Leo Yearry (wife Betty), and Allan Yearry (wife Judy), and a host of nephews and nieces, and grands. Not the least, her three beloved dogs and companions, Blanca, Ebony, and Beagle. All of these she loved deeply.She was proceeded in death by her amazing parents, who raised this strong woman, Berkley and Minnie Yearry. Please join us in celebrating her life Saturday, March 25 at Refuge Church of the Assemblies of God, 1404 Stone Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas, Officiated by Pastor Clayton Adams of Earle, Arkansas. Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m. and following, a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. You are requested to bring your best stories and your favorite scripture written on an index card. She’d want that most.
