Oma Joyce Inez McAlister

Oma Inez McAlister, 92 passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould, Arkansas. She was born March 11, 1926 in Clarkton, Missouri to Will and Bessie Miller Sisson. She was a member of the Finch Baptist Church in Paragould, Arkansas, loved animals, loved the outdoors, enjoyed traveling, especially spending three years in Africa.Survivors include her husband of sixty years: Charles R. McAlister; one son: Charles Richard McAlister, Jr. of San Francisco, California; one daughter: Linda Burns (Gaylon) of Paragould, Arkansas; two step daughters: Terry Ballard and Sherrill Sienicki (John) both of Arizona; two foster sons: Patrick Norformagon of Houston, Texas and Sonny Okoro of Connecticut; one grandchild: Jimmy Burns; six great grandchildren: Stacy Macklin (Allan), Hannah, Lauren and Holly Jones, Joey and Wesley Burns; two great- great grandchildren: Cash and Barrett Austin, and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one very important grandchild: Connie Jones; one great grandchild: Josie May Austin. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Finch Baptist Church, Paragould, Arkansas with Pastor Marty Ezell officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas. Burial will be in Greene County Memorial Garden Cemetery, Paragould, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors at the church from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service.
