David Claude Gist

David Claude Gist, 61, of Hornersville, Missouri passed away on November 3, 2018 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He was born on February 6, 1957 in Flint, Michigan to the late James Polk and Frances Eva Stone Gist. He was a truck driver for many different bands during his career and enjoyed duck hunting and fishing. He was never married but enjoyed his work very much and his cat, Smarty Jones.Survivors include; eleven siblings: James Raymond Gist of Oklahoma, Judy Gist of Flint, Michigan, Joan Blackledge of Flint Michigan, Sharron Lee Long of Davidson, Michigan, Brenda Joyce Nichols of Flint, Michigan, LaDonna Burton of Flint, Michigan, Shelley Kaye Warden of Flint, Michigan, Eva Maxine Gist of Mt. Rose, Michigan, James Walter Gist of Flint, Michigan, Kimberly Diane Welker of Lapeer, Michigan, and Deborah Karen Mansfield of Hornersville, Missouri; one special brother-in-law: Pete Mansfield; and a host of other family and friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; one sister: Barbara Kelly; and his cat: Smarty Jones.The family request private disposition under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
