Haskell Stanley Simpson

Mr. Haskell Stanley Simpson, II, 65 of Trumann, Arkansas, died Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born December 6, 1946 in Macomb, Illinois, he was the son of the late Haskell and Mildred Smith Simpson, Jr. Mr. Simpson was a member of the Broadway Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Trumann and served our country in the United States Navy. He was retired after 30 years from Catepillar and was a former bus driver for the Bay school system. Mr. Simpson was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed riding his Honda motorcycle and photography. He is survived by his wife of 26 ½ years Mrs. Pamela Simpson of the home; one son: David Simpson and wife Tonya of South Pekin, Illinois; one step-son: Kevin Martin and wife Sonja of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two brothers: Rodney Simpson and Jimmy Simpson both of Illinois. He also leaves one granddaughter: Brittany Simpson; one step-granddaughter; Tazmyn Martin and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 12:00 at the Broadway Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Trumann with Rev. Rick Jensen officiating. Burial will follow in the Cash Cemetery in Cash, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors Thursday morning from 10:00am until time of service at the church. Pallbearers will be Jason Arender, Kevin Russel, Gary Smith, Gerald Looney, Bobby Hutchinson and Lomer Turney. Honorary pallbearers will be Randall Crowell and Stephan Riggs. Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas is in charge of arrangements.

    I now live in Vermont, again. The Simpson home place there is gone but Patsy still lives there. She bought your house and had it tore down. I remember your family fondly and just wanted to extend my sympathies to the family. Look me up if you are ever in Vermont. Lona
