Steven Wayne Blake

Mr. Steven Wayne Blake, age 58 of Hardy, Arkansas, passed away October 13, 2014 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas. Born October 17, 1955 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Wayne and Madlyn Evans Blake (Cates) . Mr. Blake was of the Church of Christ belief and was a faithful 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. Mr. Blake proudly served our country in the United States Army National Guard and had a Bachelor’s degree in social work from Arkansas State University. Mr. Blake was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by one daughter: Alanna Russell and husband Shane of Hardy, Arkansas; one brother: Grayson Blake and wife Misty of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one sister: Cindy Wyatt and husband Peanut of Osceola, Arkansas; his step-father: Junior Cates of Ravenden, Arkansas; two grandchildren: Mashaia Russell and Eutah Russell both of Hardy, Arkansas. Mr. Blake also leaves seven previous step-children, two nieces, three nephews and a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Larry Blake; grandparents: Dewey and Maudie Blake and Eutah and Evie Evans Memorial service will be 5:00pm Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Faith Funeral Service Chapel in Manila, Arkansas with Pastor Chris Clem officiating.
